The NikeLab Chicago Re-Creation Center with Virgil Abloh is open now on Michigan Avenue until July 2019.
Calling all budding Chicago based streetwear creatives. OFF-WHITE’s Virgil Abloh has teamed up once again with Nike, this time with the technical arm of NikeLab for a series of workshops and mentor-ship programs with some of the hottest talent in the streetwear industry. After dropping some of the most expensive resale Air Max trainers of all time, Albloh and Nike now team up for 8 weeks of creativity, sneaker re-creations and talks. Confirmed mentors include; Chuck Anderson (Graphic Design), Paul Octavious (Photography), Alyx Harch (Fabric Design), Thomas Kelley and Carrie Norman (Brand Identity), Ann Lui and Craig Reschke (Architecture).
Abloh will launch the programs with a panel discussion on the historic legacy of Chicago’s cultural impact in the world of streetwear and sneakers. The NikeLab Chicago Re-Creation Center with Virgil Abloh opens for 8 weeks from Friday 31st May 2019 to Sunday 28th July 2019 and is located at 673 N. Michigan Avenue, Chicago.
