Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the medical office, ensuring its smooth functioning
- Handle all aspects of medical billing including claims processing, insurance verification and reimbursement
- Perform remittance processing, reconciliation, and credit control within the practice
- Liaise with medical professionals, staff/patients to ensure excellent communication and patient satisfaction
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of medical supplies and equipment, coordinating ordering and restocking as needed
- Implement and maintain office policies and procedures to optimise efficiency and productivity
- Conduct regular staff meetings and trainings to promote ongoing education and professional development
Requirements:
- Minimum two years previous experience as a Practice Manager or in a similar healthcare administrative role
- Proficiency in medical billing, insurance procedures and electronic health records systems is essential
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, medical professionals, and staff
- Proficiency in using office and medical billing software
